San Francisco Giants veteran Tim Hudson will be hoping to end his current three-game losing streak when he goes up against Odrisamer Despaigne and the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.

Tim Hudson pitched well against the Cincinnati Reds in his last start, but he ended up taking the loss after getting no runs from his offense. He pitched eight innings in that game and gave up just two runs on five hits while striking out six batters and walking no one. Hudson may have lost three consecutive games, but he still has a 7-5 record with a very solid 2.59 ERA.

Padres outfielder Cameron Maybin has nine hits in his 22 at-bats against Hudson with a double, a home run and four RBI. Third baseman Chase Headley has just four hits in 21 at-bats against the right-hander with six strikeouts.

Rookie right-hander Odrisamer Despaigne picked up his second win on Sunday when he defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks at home. He went 6.2 innings in that start and gave up just one run on five base hits while walking four and striking out two. Through two starts, he has a 2-0 record and he has only given up one run in 13.2 innings.

The Giants are one of the two teams that Despaigne has already faced. He was able to pick up his first Major League win by beating them on June 23 after pitching seven scoreless innings while only giving up four hits.
