Veteran starter Tim Hudson (8-8) will try to end his two-game losing streak when he and the San Francisco Giants take on Dillon Gee (4-4) and the New York Mets on Monday afternoon.

Last Tuesday, Tim Hudson pitched a decent game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but he ended up taking the loss after getting only one run of support from his offense. He pitched seven innings in that game and allowed three runs on six hits while walking one and striking out two. Hudson still has a very good 2.71 ERA and he has only given up nine home runs in 139.1 innings.

Mets third baseman David Wright only has a .238 batting average in 80 at-bats against Hudson, but he has hit three home runs off of him. Lucas Duda is 11-for-28 against Hudson with two doubles, a home run and four RBI.

Dillon Gee lost his third game in a row last Tuesday when he was beaten by the Philadelphia Phillies at home. He allowed five runs in 6.2 innings of work that day and walked three batters while striking out two. He now has a 3.77 ERA on the season and has only given up 63 hits in 76.1 innings on the mound.

Pablo Sandoval is 2-for-5 against Gee in his career and is the only player on the Giants who has hit a home run off of him. Outfielder Hunter Pence is just 2-for-16 against him with five strikeouts.
