Right-hander Tim Hudson (9-12) will attempt to snap his current three-game losing streak when he and the San Francisco Giants face off against Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw (20-3).

Last week against the San Diego Padres, Tim Hudson gave up five runs (four earned) in just 4.1 innings and ended up taking the loss. He gave up seven hits in that game and struck out two batters while also walking two. Hudson still has a decent 3.52 ERA on the year, but he has a 9.92 ERA in four starts this month.

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has 10 hits in his 24 at-bats against Hudson with two home runs and five RBI. Outfielder Roger Bernadina is just 4-for-25 against him with a walk and nine strikeouts.

Cy Young favorite Clayton Kershaw picked up his sixth win in a row last Friday when he beat the Chicago Cubs on the road. He pitched five innings in that start and gave up three runs on seven hits while walking three batters and striking out nine. Kershaw has an excellent 1.80 ER this year and he has struck out 228 batters in 190.1 innings.

Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is 14-for-54 against Kershaw in his career with three doubles, seven RBI and 10 strikeouts. Outfielder Hunter Pence is just 4-for-49 against the left-hander with no walks and 11 strikeouts.
