After picking up the win on Sunday night, Jake Peavy and the San Francisco Giants will be looking to win the World Series when they face Yordano Ventura and the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night.

In Game 2 last Wednesday, Jake Peavy took the loss after giving up four runs in five innings of work. He allowed six base hits in that outing while walking two batters and striking out one. He is now 1-1 in three starts this postseason with a 3.68 ERA and he has walked eight batters in his 14.2 innings of work.

Royals slugger Billy Butler is now 15-for-35 versus Peavy in his career with a double, three home runs and nine RBI. Eric Hosmer has also hit a home run off of the right-hander, but he is just 4-for-22 overall against him with five walks and four strikeouts.

Yordano Ventura made his first World Series start in Game 2 and finished with a no decision. He pitched 5.1 innings in that game and gave up two runs on eight hits while striking out two and walking zero. He now has a 4.42 ERA this postseason in three starts and one appearance out of the bullpen.

In Game 2, Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco had three at-bats against Ventura and hit a solo home run off of him. First baseman Brandon Belt was 1-for-2 against him with an RBI double and a strikeout.
