The National League West is an interesting division that has a lot of talent throughout. Two of those teams with the most talent are the San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies will welcome the Giants to Coors Field on Tuesday night for a game with the pitching matchup of Madison Bumgarner against Franklin Morales.

Bumgarner is one of the best young pitchers in the sport and the lefty is 51-40 in his career. The 24-year-old won 13 games a year ago and recorded a 2.77 ERA, showing the baseball world what kind of potential he has. Thus far this season, he is 2-1 with a 3.48 ERA, allowing 8 earned runs in 20 2/3 innings with 26 strikeouts. The fact that he has allowed 29 hits is what should worry the team and with a 1.79 WHIP, he may struggle to stay in games for more than 5 innings at a time.

Morales began the season in the starting rotation and allowed 9 earned runs in 11 2/3 innings. He was relegated to the bullpen, but was given another chance in the rotation after an injury. He showed his appreciation for the second chance by throwing 6 good innings against the San Diego Padres, allowing just 1 earned run and recording 5 strikeouts. In limited experience against the current San Francisco roster, he has pitched well, allowing just 4 hits in 19 at-bats.
