Madison Bumgarner will be looking to improve to 6-3 when he and the San Francisco Giants face Franklin Morales and the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.

24-year-old Madison Bumgarner won for the third start in a row last Wednesday when he was able to beat the Atlanta Braves at home. He got his fifth win of the season by going five innings and striking out five while giving up four earned runs. He is giving up over 10 hits per nine innings, which is worse than he has ever done, but he also has the highest strikeout rate of his career going right now at 10 strikeouts per nine innings.

All-Star Carlos Gonzalez has an OPS of 1.252 through 41 plate appearances against Bumgarner, which includes three doubles and five home runs. DJ LeMahieu has just two hits in 17 at-bats against the right-hander.

Franklin Morales lost for the second consecutive start last week against the Kansas City Royals when he gave up four earned runs in five innings. He allowed eight hits, including two home runs, while walking four and striking out four. He now has a 3-3 record on the season with a 5.40 ERA.

Outfielder Hunter Pence has faced Morales seven times in his career and has four hits, including one double and one homer. Pablo Sandoval has just two hits in nine at-bats against him with three strikeouts.
