Yusmeiro Petit (4-3), who picked up his first win since May last week, will make the start for the San Francisco Giants when they face Jordan Lyles (6-2) and the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night.

Right-hander Yusmeiro Petit made his first start in three months last Friday when he beat the Colorado Rockies at home. He gave up just one run in six innings of work that day while striking out a season-high nine batters and walking zero. Petit now has a 3.44 ERA on the year and he has struck out 96 batters in 86.1 innings of work.

Rockies outfielder Corey Dickerson is 3-for-9 against Petit in his career and is the only Colorado player who has hit a home run off of him.

In his last start, Jordan Lyles pitched six innings against these same San Francisco Giants on the road and ended up taking the loss. He gave up three runs on four base hits in that outing while walking three batters and striking out five. Lyles has given up 90 hits in his 97 innings of work this season and he currently owns a 4.08 ERA.

Giants outfielder Angel Pagan has three hits in six plate appearances against Lyles in his career with a double, an RBI and no strikeouts. Veteran Gregor Blanco is 2-for-4 against him in his career with a home run and two RBI.
