On Tuesday night, right-hander Tim Lincecum will be making the start for the San Francisco Giants and will be facing Homer Bailey and the Cincinnati Reds.

Last Wednesday, Tim Lincecum didn't get the win against the Chicago Cubs, but he pitched pretty well by going five no-hit innings in a game the Giants eventually won 5-0. He was pulled early from that game because he has walked four batters and his pitch count was already up to 96 by the end of the fifth inning. Lincecum is 4-3 on the season and his 4.18 ERA is the lowest it has been all year.

Skip Schumaker has gone up against Lincecum more than anyone else on the Reds and has a .276 batting average through 29 at-bats. Ryan Ludwick is just 3-for-23 against him in his career with 11 strikeouts.

Homer Bailey won his second game in a row last Wednesday when he defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. He went seven innings in that start and allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out six and walking just one. He now has a 5-3 record on the season, but he's given up 76 hits in 64.1 innings of work.

Giants outfielder Hunter Pence is just 2-for-14 against Bailey with four strikeouts, while Angel Pagan has three hits in seven at-bats against him with one RBI.
