Matt Cain will be going for just his second win this season when he and the San Francisco Giants take on left-hander John Danks and the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night.

Right-hander Matt Cain could only make it through five innings against the Washington Nationals last week and ended up taking his fourth loss of the year. He allowed four runs in that game on three hits while walking a season-high five batters while striking out four. He now has a 1-4 record with a 3.84 ERA, but he has only given up 46 hits in 58.2 innings this year.

White Sox slugger Adam Dunn has a .300 batting average against Cain in 20 at-bats with two doubles, two home runs and three RBI. Adam Eaton is hitless against him in eight at-bats, but he has walked five times.

Lefty John Danks won his second game in a row last Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers after going seven innings and allowing just two earned runs. He gave up six hits in that game and struck out four while walking two. Danks has turned his season around in recent weeks and now has a 5-5 record with a 4.17 ERA.

Giants outfielder Tyler Colvin has two hits in three at-bats against Danks with a home run and three RBI. None of the Giants have faced the left-hander more than three times.
