San Francisco Giants starter Tim Hudson will take his league-leading ERA up against Chris Sale and the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday afternoon.

Tim Hudson continued his hot start to the season last week against the Washington Nationals by beating them and picking up his seventh win of the season. He went seven scoreless innings in that game and and gave up six hits while walking two and striking out five. He has a sparkling 1.81 ERA on the year and he has given up just 74 hits in 89.1 innings of work.

White Sox designated hitter Adam Dunn has 11 hits in 34 at-bats against Hudson with a double, four home runs and seven RBI. Paul Konerko is 7-for-19 against him with two doubles, a home run and five RBI.

White Sox ace Chris Sale lost his first game of the season last week when he was beaten by the Detroit Tigers at home. He went seven innings in that outing and allowed just one run on five hits while striking out 10 and walking no one. Sale is now 5-1 through nine starts and he has only allowed 31 hits in 59.1 innings.

Giants outfielder Michael Morse has just one hit in four at-bats against Sale in his career, but that one hit was a home run. Gregor Blanco, who is 1-for-2 against Sale, is the only other player on the Giants who has faced the left-hander.
