On Tuesday, Ryan Vogelsong (7-8) will be looking to win his third game in four starts when the San Francisco Giants go up against Tsuyoshi Wada (2-1) and the Chicago Cubs.

Right-hander Ryan Vogelsong pitched seven good innings against the Chicago White Sox last Tuesday, but he had to settle for a no decision. He allowed just two runs on three hits in that outing while striking out five batters and walking two. He now has a 3.71 ERA on the season and he has only walked 37 batters in 140.2 innings.

First baseman Anthony Rizzo is 1-for-3 against Vogelsong in his career and is the only Cub who has hit a home run off of him. Outfielder Chris Coghlan has just one hit in seven at-bats against Vogelsong with no walks.

Rookie Tsuyoshi Wada was able to pick up his second Major League win last Wednesday when he beat the Milwaukee Brewers at home. He allowed two runs in 6.2 innings of work that day while walking one and striking out five. Wada now has a 3.15 ERA through six starts and has struck out 30 batters in 34.1 innings.

The Giants will be going up against Wada for the first time on Tuesday night. He has held left-handed hitters to just a .143 batting average so far this year with no walks and seven strikeouts.
