San Francisco Giants starter Tim Lincecum will be on the mound on Friday night and will face off against Josh Collmenter and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tim Lincecum pitched pretty well against the Colorado Rockies last Friday, but all he could get out of that start was a no decision. He went six innings in that game and allowed two runs on just three hits while striking out six and walking two. He is 5-4 this season with a 4.81 ERA and he is giving up 9.4 hits per nine innings, which is the worst rate of his career.

Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero has just 10 hits against Lincecum in 57 at-bats with just two RBI and 15 strikeouts. Paul Goldschmidt has gotten the best of the right-hander over the years by going 13-for-24 against him with a double, seven home runs and 17 RBI.

Last Saturday, Josh Collmenter lost his second game in a row and his fourth overall when he was beaten by the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. He gave up a season-high six earned runs in that outing on eight hits while walking three and striking out three. He is 4-4 this year with a 4.05 ERA and he has only struck out 5.4 batters per nine innings.

Giants catcher Buster Posey is 6-for-9 against Collmenter in his career with a double, two home runs and seven RBI.
