On Sunday afternoon, Madison Bumgarner will be going for his ninth win of the season for the San Francisco Giants and he will have to face rookie starter Mike Bolsinger and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Big lefty Madison Bumgarner went seven innings against the Colorado Rockies last Sunday and ended up with a no decision. He gave up four runs in that game on six hits while matching his season-high in walks with four and striking out nine. He is 8-4 this season with an excellent 2.85 ERA and he has 104 strikeouts in 94.2 innings pitched.

Jordan Pacheco has nine hits in 29 at-bats against Bumgarner with three doubles, a home run and six RBI. Gerardo Parra is just 2-for-15 against the left-hander with five strikeouts.

26-year-old Mike Bolsinger made his sixth start of the year on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers and came away with a no decision for his efforts. He went 6.1 innings in that outing and allowed three runs on seven hits in 6.1 innings of work while walking no one and striking out six. He has struck out 28 batters in 30 innings this season, but he has also given up 40 hits.

All of the Giants will be getting their first look at Bolsinger on Sunday. Their left-handed hitters are probably looking forward to that game, as lefties are currently hitting .373 against him through 51 at-bats.
