Veteran Jake Peavy (5-4) will try to pick up his fourth consecutive win for the San Francisco Giants when they face Josh Collmenter (10-7) and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.

Last Thursday, Jake Peavy made his eighth start of the year for the Giants and beat the Arizona Diamondbacks at home. He pitched 5.2 innings in that game and allowed just one run on six base hits while striking out eight batters and walking no one. Peavy is 6-13 overall this season with a 3.93 ERA and he has given up 183 hits in 183 innings.

Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero is 6-for-20 against Peavy in his career with two doubles, a home run and three RBI. Outfielder Cody Ross is just 1-for-9 against him with a walk, a home run and a strikeout.

Josh Collmenter pitched six scoreless innings against the San Francisco Giants on the road last week, but all he could get out of that start was a no decision. He gave up just three hits in that start and walked two hitters while striking out three. The big right-hander now has a 3.67 ERA on the year and he has only walked 2.2 batters per nine innings.

Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has just three hits in his 21 at-bats against Collmenter with no walks and eight strikeouts. Catcher Buster Posey is 9-for-14 against him with a double and two home runs.
