Andrew Cashner looks to continue his great start to the season when he and the San Diego Padres go up against Tanner Roark and the Washington Nationals.

Andrew Cashner had his worst start of the season Monday night against the Milwaukee Brewers, but it wasn't a terrible outing by any means. He went six innings in the game and gave up four earned runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking two. His 2.10 ERA is still one of the best in the National League and he's given up just 26 hits in 34.1 innings of work.

Denard Span has faced Cashner just six times so far in his career, but he has shown that he can handle the big righty by picking up three hits, including a double, and two RBI against him. Adam LaRoche hasn't fared quite as well, going 1-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts.

Tanner Roark did pretty well in his start on Monday against the Los Angeles Angels by giving up no runs and scattering seven hits while striking out five and walking two in 6.2 innings of work. He was able to drop his ERA to 3.80 and he's hoping that will be good enough to nail down the fifth spot in the Nats' rotation.

None of the Padres have gone up against Roark yet, but they can expect to see a lot of his 92 mph fastball with a few sliders and curveballs mixed in.
