On Tuesday night, rookie starter Jesse Hahn will try to make it three consecutive wins when he and the San Diego Padres go up against veteran Tim Hudson and the San Francisco Giants.

24-year-old Jesse Hahn had the best start of his young career on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners when he was able to pitch seven strong innings against them and pick up his second win of the year. He allowed just one unearned run in that game on five hits while walking two and striking out seven. His ERA is now down to 2.16 through three starts and he has struck out 19 batters in 16.2 innings.

The Padres will be getting their first look at Hahn on Tuesday night. Left-handed hitters have hit two home runs off of him so far, but they are batting just .175 against him.

On Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox, Tim Hudson had by far his worst start of the season and ended up suffering his third loss of the year. He gave up a season-high seven earned runs in that game and was not able to strike out a batter while walking one. Despite that rough outing, Hudson has been solid this season with his 7-3 record and his 2.39 ERA.

Everth Cabrera has been able to get a double and a triple off of Hudson, but he is just 4-for-19 against him overall with four strikeouts.
