Both Tyson Ross and Madison Bumgarner will be looking to pick up their third wins of the season when the San Diego Padres face the San Francisco Giants on Sunday.

Two home runs greatly hurt Tyson Ross in his loss to the Milwaukee Brewers last week. He made it through six innings in that game, but he gave up a season-high five earned runs off of nine hits while striking out three and walking two. His ERA is still pretty good at 3.16, but he has walked 13 batters in 31.1 innings this season.

Giants first baseman Brandon Belt has done very well against Ross in the past, getting four hits in nine at-bats with three RBI and two walks. Gregor Blanco has just one hit off of him in nine at-bats with three strikeouts.

Madison Bumgarner had his best outing of the season last Tuesday, but he ended up taking the loss against the Colorado Rockies because the Giants only scored one run for him. He pitched eight strong innings in that game and gave up just two earned runs on nine hits while striking out six and walking one. The 2013 All-Star now has a 3.14 ERA on the season through 28.2 innings pitched.

Chris Denorfia has already faced Bumgarner 45 times and has 15 hits, two RBI, one walk and seven strikeouts against him. Bumgarner has absolutely dominated when he has faced Everth Cabrera, striking him out six times and not allowing a hit in 16 at-bats.
