On Sunday night, Eric Stults will be going for just his fourth win of the year when he and the San Diego Padres go up against Mike Minor and the Atlanta Braves.

Left-hander Eric Stults lost for the 12th time this season when he was defeated by the Chicago Cubs on the road last week. He went five innings in that game and gave up three runs on six hits while striking out seven and walking three. Stults now has a 3-12 record this season and he has given up 126 hits in his 104.1 innings on the mound.

Braves outfielder Justin Upton is 3-for-9 against Stults in his career with three walks, a home run and four RBI. First baseman Freddie Freeman is just 1-for-7 against him with an RBI and no strikeouts.

Mike Minor had his shortest outing of the season last Tuesday when he was beaten by the Miami Marlins in Atlanta. He made it through just three innings in that game and gave up six runs on 10 hits while walking two and striking out just one. Minor regressed this season for the Braves, going just 3-6 with a 5.32 ERA.

Padres infielder Chris Nelson has just one hit in his seven at-bats versus Minor with a walk and four strikeouts. Veteran Chris Denorfia is 4-for-6 against him with two doubles and a triple.
