Tyson Ross (13-13), who is 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in his last three starts, will take the mound for the San Diego Padres when they take on Chase Anderson (8-6) and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

In his last start, Tyson Ross gave up three runs in 5.2 innings against the Colorado Rockies and ended up taking the loss. He allowed seven base hits in that outing and struck out seven batters while walking four. Ross still has a very solid 2.66 ERA on the year and he has been able to strike out 191 hitters in 192.2 innings of work.

Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero is 4-for-18 against Ross in his career with two RBI and three strikeouts. Second baseman Aaron Hill is just 1-for-12 against him with no walks and three strikeouts.

Rookie Chase Anderson pitched six pretty good innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers last week and ended up with a no decision for his efforts. He gave up two earned runs on four base hits in that start while striking out six and walking zero. Anderson currently has a 3.71 ERA on the season and he has struck out 8.2 batters per nine innings.

Padres catcher Yasmani Grandal is 1-for-3 against Anderson in his career with a home run and four RBI, while Seth Smith is 0-for-4 against him with two walks and an RBI.
