Vance Worley (5-3) will attempt to snap his current two-game losing streak when he and the Pittsburgh Pirates go up against Mike Fiers (3-1) and the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday afternoon.

Vance Worley had his worst start of the year last week when he was beaten by the Atlanta Braves at home. He pitched six innings in that game and allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits while striking out eight batters and walking two. He still has a very good 2.92 ERA on the year and he has only walked 1.6 batters per nine innings.

Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks has two hits in four at-bats against Worley in his career with a solo home run and two walks. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez is just 1-for-9 against him with no walks and two strikeouts.

Right-hander Mike Fiers was able to win his third game in a row last Tuesday when he beat the Toronto Blue Jays at home. He gave up just one run on two hits in seven innings of work that day while walking one batter and striking out six. Fiers has given up just 14 hits in 28 innings this season and now has a 1.29 ERA.

Pirates All-Star Andrew McCutchen has six hits in his 11 at-bats versus Fiers with four home runs and nine RBI. Pedro Alvarez is just 1-for-6 against him with a home run and two RBI.
