Edinson Volquez (10-7), who hasn't lost a game in five starts, will be on the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates when they go up against Wily Peralta (15-7) and the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday night.

Right-hander Edinson Volquez gave up four runs (one earned) in 6.1 innings against the Washington Nationals on the road on Sunday and ended up with a no decision. He allowed six hits in that outing while walking two batters and striking out five. He now has an ERA of 3.58 on the year and he has only given up 132 hits in 146 innings.

Brewers star Ryan Braun has 12 hits in his 37 at-bats against Volquez in his career with a double, a home run and three RBI. Veteran Mark Reynolds is just 1-for-12 against him with four walks and five strikeouts.

Third-year starter Wily Peralta pitched six scoreless innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday and picked up his 15th win of the year. He gave up five hits in that game and struck out five batters while walking three. He now has a 3.27 ERA on the season and he has walked 2.6 batters per nine innings, which is the best walk rate of his career.

Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen has hit a home run off of Peralta in his career, but he is just 1-for-7 against him overall. Pedro Alvarez is 2-for-9 against him with no walks and three strikeouts.
