25-year-old Brandon Cumpton will be getting the start for the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday and will be going up against Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In his third start of the season, Brandon Cumpton ended up with a no decision against the New York Mets on Sunday after pitching six strong innings. He allowed just one earned run in that outing on seven hits while walking one and striking out one. Cumpton is now 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA through those three starts and has walked just two batters in 18.2 innings.

Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier has only faced Cumpton three times so far in his career, but he has shown that he can hit him by getting two singles and an RBI off of him. No one on the Dodgers has hit a home run off of the right-hander yet.

Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched well against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and ended up picking up his fifth win of the season. He went 7.1 innings in that start and allowed three runs on three hits while striking out seven and walking no one. Ryu is now 5-2 on the year and has walked just 12 batters in 52.1 innings while striking out 47.

Reigning NL MVP Andrew McCutchen is 1-for-3 against Ryu and is the only player on the Pirates who has hit a home run off of him.
