On Friday, July 25, the Pittsburgh Pirates will matchup with the Colorado Rockies once again in the Mile High City. Charlie Morton (5-9, 3.28 ERA) will be on the mound opposite Brett Anderson (0-3, 4.00 ERA) for the Rockies.

Morton is coming off his third straight no-decision. On Saturday he also faced the Rockies and went seven strong innings giving up two runs on five hits while striking out three and walking only one. It was his fourth quality start in his last five outings. Morton has been pitching well over his last 11 starts and has only given up more than two earned runs in only two of them. It'll be a matter of continuing to keep the ball down and force ground balls.

Morton has pitched well against the Rockies and has stumped Troy Tulowitzki over his career only allowing him one hit over 12 at bats. Morton will look to continue the trend on Friday.

Brett Anderson will be looking to pick up his first win of the season on Friday. He had his best start of the season on Friday when he pitched against the Pirates going seven innings allowing only one run on four hits. In this game Anderson struckout eight batters and only walked one. This will just be his second start since breaking his finger in April.

Anderson has pitched well against the Pirates allowing a team average of .147 over 34 at bats. He'll look to keep it going on Friday.
