Left-hander Jeff Locke (2-2) will be looking to put his last outing behind him when he and the Pittsburgh Pirates face Josh Collmenter (8-5) and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday night.

Jeff Locke pitched 6.2 innings against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, but he also gave up six earned runs and ended up taking the loss. He allowed 10 hits - including three home runs - in that start and walked three batters while striking out six. Despite that rough outing, Locke still has a pretty good 3.54 ERA and he has only walked 1.4 batters per nine innings.

Diamondbacks veteran Martin Prado only has two hits in eight at-bats versus Locke in his career, but he does have a home run and three RBI against him. Catcher Miguel Montero is 1-for-4 against Locke with an RBI and two strikeouts.

Josh Collmenter should have taken the loss against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, but he got some help from his offense and ended up with a no decision instead. Collmenter was only able to make it through 2.2 innings in that game and gave up six runs on 11 hits while striking out four and walking zero. His ERA is now up to 4.03 on the year and he has given up 120 hits in 114 innings.

Pirates first baseman Ike Davis has two hits in his four at-bats against Collmenter with a home run and two RBI.
