On Tuesday night, Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels will go for his third win in a row and his fourth win in five starts when he takes on Dillon Gee and the New York Mets.

Last Thursday, Cole Hamels pitched eight solid innings against the San Francisco Giants and was able to pick up his fifth win of the year. He allowed just one run on six hits in that outing and struck out 10 batters while walking just one. On the season, Hamels is now 5-5 for the Phillies with a 2.72 ERA and he has only given up 102 hits in 122.1 innings of work.

One player on the Mets who has done well against Hamels in his career is David Wright, who is 24-for-73 against him with four doubles, a triple, five home runs and 16 RBI.

Last week, Dillon Gee had his worst outing of the season when he was beaten by the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. He pitched five innings in that game and gave up a season-high six earned runs on six hits while striking out six and walking two. He is now 4-3 on the year with a 3.49 ERA and he has only given up 6.5 hits per nine innings, which is a career-low for him.

Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins is 11-for-22 against Gee in his career with two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Catcher Carlos Ruiz is only 1-for-13 against him with a strikeout.
