On Wednesday night, Roberto Hernandez will attempt to end his current three-game losing streak when he and the Philadelphia Phillies face veteran starter Kyle Lohse and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Last Friday, veteran Roberto Hernandez gave up five runs in 5.2 innings of work against the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road and ended up losing his eighth game of the year. He allowed 10 hits in that start and walked four batters while striking out three. Hernandez now has a 3-8 record on the year with a 4.48 ERA and he has walked 4.8 batters per nine innings.

In his four at-bats against Hernandez, Brewers All-Star outfielder Carlos Gomez has a double and a home run. Veteran Mark Reynolds is hitless against the right-hander with two strikeouts in his career.

Kyle Lohse went just five innings against the Cincinnati Reds last Friday and ended up suffering his third loss of the year. He gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits in that start while walking one batter and striking out eight. Lohse has been great for the Brewers this season, going 9-3 with a 3.18 ERA and he has only given up 108 hits in 119 innings.

One player on the Phillies who Lohse does not like facing is first baseman Ryan Howard, who is 11-for-25 against him with two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI.
