Philadelphia Phillies veteran Cole Hamels will be hoping to pick up his first win in over a month on Monday night when he faces Marco Estrada and the Milwaukee Brewers.

On Wednesday, left-hander Cole Hamels picked up his fifth loss of the year when he was defeated by the Miami Marlins on the road. He went five innings in that game and allowed three earned runs on five hits while walking four batters and striking out three. Hamels has a 2-5 record on the season, but he also has a very good 2.98 ERA.

Hamels has never liked facing Ryan Braun, who is 9-for-28 against him in his career with a double, three home runs and five RBI. Second baseman Rickie Weeks has just two hits against the veteran with eight strikeouts.

Marco Estrada pitched pretty well against the Toronto Blue Jays last Monday, but he ended up taking the loss after getting just one run from his offense. He pitched six innings in that game and gave up two runs on six hits while striking out two and walking one. Estrada has struck out 87 batters in 102 innings this season, but he has also given up 26 home runs.

Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard has three hits in his six at-bats against Estrada with two walks, a home run and three RBI. Outfielder Domonic Brown is 0-for-5 against the right-hander with a walk and a strikeout.
