Kyle Kendrick will be hoping to finally pick up his first win of the season when the Philadelphia Phillies go up against Nathan Eovaldi and the Miami Marlins on Wednesday.

Kyle Kendrick pitched well against the Cincinnati Reds last week, but he still ended up losing and picked up his fourth loss of the season. He pitched seven innings in that outing and gave up three runs on four hits while striking out five and walking one. He is now 0-4 on the season with a 3.96 ERA through eight starts.

Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton has hit a home runs off of Kendrick, but he is just 3-for-21 against him. Garrett Jones has had the most success against Kendrick of all of the Marlins' hitters by going 4-for-12 with a home run and two RBI against him.

Nathan Eovaldi had his shortest outing of the season last Thursday versus the San Francisco Giants and ended up taking his second loss of the season. He pitched 4.1 innings in the game and gave up a season-high six earned runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out two. He now has a 2-2 record on the season with a decent 3.62 ERA.

Jimmy Rollins has a .353 batting average in 17 at-bats against Eovaldi with a double, a home run and two RBI. Domonic Brown is 4-for-16 against him with no extra-base hits and three strikeouts.
