Cliff Lee will be looking to end his two-game losing streak when he and the Philadelphia Phillies face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who will have Paul Maholm on the mound.

Cliff Lee was able to go nine innings in his start against the Atlanta Braves last week, but he still came away with the loss. He gave up just one run after scattering 11 hits while striking out 13 and walking just one. Lee is now 2-2 on the season with a 4.00 ERA in 27 innings and is striking out a league-leading 14 batters per nine innings.

Carl Crawford hasn't had much success in his career matchup with Lee, batting just .212 with one triple in 33 at-bats. First baseman Adrian Gonzalez has done well against the lefty by going .500/.522/.773 with three doubles and a home run in 23 career plate appearances.

Paul Maholm pitched well enough to get the win last Wednesday when he faced the San Francisco Giants, but he ended up with a no decision. He gave up one run on five hits in six innings pitched while striking out two and walking three. He now has a 4.97 ERA on the season.

Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins has done very well against Maholm in his career by getting 10 hits, including two doubles, in 30 at-bats. Ryan Howard has a home run against Maholm, but that was one of just six hits in 26 at-bats against him.
