Kyle Kendrick (0-2) is still look for that elusive 2014 win but he'll hope for some more help from his offensive mates as the Phillies take on the Dodgers and the upstart Dan Haren (3-0). Kendrick's season has been up and down, as he's allowed 1 and 2 runs in his first three starts sandwiched by giving up 4 to the Brewers on April 8th. He only threw 82 pitches through 7 innings the last time out in Colorado but still gave up all the runs in a 1-3 Philadelphia loss.

The 29-year-old Kendrick was winless against the Dodgers last year, going 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA. The pitcher is 3-3 lifetime in Chavez Ravine with an 8.34 ERA. To say that Yasiel Puig has hit Kendrick well would be an understatement as the OF has gone 5 for 6 (.833) with a double and a triple in his lifetime against the right-hander. Those numbers power a Dodger lineup hitting a combined .314 against Kendrick.

The 33-year-old Haren has made the switch from a power pitcher to a ground-ball specialist with great results in 2014. The right-hander pitched into the 8th his last outing, throwing 100 pitches on the dot to earn his second straight win. For the season Haren has yielded 6 runs in 25 IP (2.16 ERA) and has a WHIP of 1.04 that is top 15 in the NL.

Haren signed a 1-year, $10 million deal with the Dodgers after spending last season with the Nationals. He was 1-1 with Washington last year against these Phillies, posting an of 4.13 in 4 starts. In the first two starts against Philadelphia Haren allowed 7 total runs but lowered that number to 4 in the last two despite pitching into the 7th only once.
