Cole Hamels will be making his 2014 debut on Wednesday night when the Philadelphia Phillies take on Zack Greinke and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Cole Hamels, who has recovered from his biceps injury, will be hoping to have another successful outing against the Dodgers, who he is 3-1 against with a 1.76 ERA in seven games. Hamels is coming off of a down season by his standards where he ended up with an 8-14 record with a 3.60 ERA in 220 innings pitched.

Hanley Ramirez and Hamels have been pretty equal in their matchups against each other, with Ramirez getting 17 hits off of the lefty in 63 at-bats. Hamels has struck him out 16 times, but Hanley does have 10 doubles and two home runs against him.

Zack Greinke couldn't notch his fourth win in a row last week against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but he did pitch well in the game. He was able to go six innings and gave up just one earned run on three hits while striking out eight and walking two. His ERA is now 2.42 on the season.

It will be surprising if the Phillies choose to put Jayson Nix in the lineup against Greinke because he has just three hits against him in 22 career at-bats. Marlon Byrd has also been pretty poor against the former Cy Young award winner by only getting three hits off of him in 20 at-bats.
