Veteran right-hander Kyle Kendrick will try to make it two wins in a row for the first time this season when he and the Philadelphia Phillies face Ervin Santana and the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday.

Kyle Kendrick was able to pick up the win in his start against the San Diego Padres last week when he went six innings against them and gave up just one earned run. He allowed seven hits in that start and walked no one while striking out five. Kendrick is now 2-6 this season with a 4.09 ERA, but he has only been able to strike out 49 batters in 81.1 innings.

Braves second baseman Dan Uggla has 12 hits in 39 at-bats against Kendrick with four doubles, two home runs and seven RBI. Right fielder Jason Heyward has just three hits in 22 at-bats against him with no extra-base hits and five strikeouts.

Ervin Santana had a rough outing against the Colorado Rockies on the road last Thursday after giving up six earned runs on 6.1 innings of work. He gave up seven hits in that game and struck out eight while walking two. Santana now has a 5-3 record in his first season with the Braves and he has only given up seven home runs in 77 innings.

Veteran outfielder Marlon Byrd has hit a home run off of Santana in his career, but he is just 6-for-30 against him overall with nine strikeouts.
