Cliff Lee (3-2) has pitched much better than his record indicates and could be one of the hottest trade commodities if the Phillies decide to be sellers at the deadline. Philadelphia hopes that stock improves as they travel to Arizona to face the last place Diamondbacks and Bronson Arroyo (1-2). Lee has been great in his last two outings, allowing 1 run over 17 innings while striking out 23. Lee did give up 11 hits in an April 16th game against the Braves but only 1 run crossed the plate in a 0-1 CG loss.

Lee pitched 7 shutout innings against Arizona in his only start in 2013, powering a 3-1 Phillies win. Martin Prado and Aaron Hill have the most career AB's against Lee and have had moderate success, going 13 for 52 combined. The Diamondbacks are hitting .229 over 109 appearances against Lee.

Arroyo's pitching hasn't been anything to write home about, unless you write home about bad pitching. The 37-year-old has given up 14 runs over 8.2 innings his last two starts and his season ERA has elevated to 9.50. The righty has given up 5 HR over his 18 innings and has gotten progressively worse each start since opening day.

Arroyo spent the last 8 years with Cincinnati and did make 2 starts against Philadelphia last season. He enjoyed great success going 2-0 while giving up 2 runs in 15.2 IP for a 1.15 ERA. Despite the success, 5 of 12 Phillies batters have batted over .300 against Arroyo in their career.
