Jon Lester (14-10), who has a 2.17 ERA in his last four starts, will take the mound for the Oakland Athletics on Sunday afternoon when they face Chris Young (12-7) and the Seattle Mariners.

Jon Lester had another solid outing for the A's in his last start when he beat the Chicago White Sox on the road. He went eight innings in that game and gave up just two runs on eight hits while striking out eight hitters and walking two. Lester us 14-10 overall this season with a 2.52 ERA and he has struck out 199 batters in 199.2 innings of work.

Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager is 4-for-13 against Lester in his career with a double, a home run and three RBI. First baseman Kendrys Morales is just 2-for-13 against him with an RBI and two strikeouts.

Big right-hander Chris Young gave up just two unearned runs in five innings against the Texas Rangers last week and ended up with a no decision. He gave up four hits in that outing while walking three batters and striking out six. On the year, Young has given up just 131 hits in 156 innings and he currently owns a 3.35 ERA.

A's outfielder Brandon Moss has three hits I nine at-bats against Young with two home runs and three RBI. Coco Crisp is just 2-for-12 against him in his career with no walks and three strikeouts.
