Garrett Richards will be looking to continue his hot start to the season when the Los Angeles Angels take on Dan Straily and the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday.

Garrett Richards has had a great start to the season, going 2-0 through his first two games and only giving up one run in 12 innings. In his last outing, he was able to hold the Seattle Mariners to just one hit over seven innings of work. His ERA now sits at 0.75 and he has yet to give up a home run.

Chances are the A's will have Brandon Moss in their lineup because the outfielder has done very well against Richards in the past. Moss has faced Richards 14 times and has six hits, including a home run and three doubles.

Dan Straily was able to pick up his first win of the season when the A's beat the Minnesota Twins 6-1 last week. Straily was able to put in seven innings of work and gave up just one run on three hits while striking out five. Straily's ERA now sits at 2.77 on the season and his strikeout rate is up to 8.3 per nine innings.

Mike Trout hasn't had an extra-base hit against Straily yet in his career, but he does have six hits in 15 at-bats. First baseman Albert Pujols has also had plenty of success against the righty, getting six hits in 14 at-bats, including one home run.
