Oakland Athletics starter Brad Mills is coming off of his first win of the year and will look to use that momentum when he takes on Rick Porcello and the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night.

Last week, left-hander Brad Mills was able to beat the New York Mets on the road after giving up three earned runs in 6.1 innings of work. He allowed nine hits in the game, but he didn't walk a batter and he struck out four. Through two starts, Mills is 1-0 for the A's and he has a 4.35 ERA.

Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler has one hit in his three at-bats against Mills with a walk and a strikeout. Victor Martinez is the only other player on Detroit who has faced Mills, and he is 1-for-3 against him with an RBI.

Rick Porcello pitched a shutout last Thursday against the Texas Rangers on the road to pick up his 10th win of the year. He gave up just three hits in that start while walking three and striking out six. Porcello is now 10-4 on the season and he has only given up nine home runs in 97.2 innings of work.

Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick has two hits in his six at-bats against Porcello with a home run and three walks. Brandon Moss is 0-for-5 against him in his career with a walk and a strikeout.
