New York Yankees starter Hiroki Kuroda will try to pick up his first win since late-May on Wednesday night when he goes up against second-year starter Drew Hutchison and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Hiroki Kuroda pitched pretty well against the Baltimore Orioles last week, but all he could get out of that start was a no decision. He went six innings in that outing and allowed just two runs on four hits while walking one and striking out six. On the season, Kuroda is 4-5 with a 4.23 ERA, but he has only walked 18 batters in 89.1 innings.

Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus will probably not be in the lineup against Kuroda because he has just three hits in 28 career at-bats against him. Edwin Encarnacion, on the other hand, has six hits in 21 at-bats against him with three home runs and eight RBI.

23-year-old Drew Hutchison lost for the fifth time this season last Thursday against the New York Yankees on the road. He went just 4.1 innings in that outing and allowed four runs on six hits while striking out three and walking four. He now has a 5-5 record this season and he has struck out 73 batters in 86.1 innings of work.

Yankees center fielder Brett Gardner has two hits in four at-bats versus Hutchison with a double, a home run and two RBI.
