On Tuesday night, lefty C.J. Wilson will be going for his fifth win of the season when he and the Los Angeles Angels face Hiroki Kuroda and the New York Yankees.

Hiroki Kuroda lost his second game of the season against the Seattle Mariners last Thursday. He went six innings in that outing and gave up four runs (three earned) off of seven hits while walking just one and striking out seven. His ERA of 5.15 is over a run and a half higher than his career ERA and his is giving up 10.5 hits per nine innings right now.

Albert Pujols has done quite well against Hiroki Kuroda in his career, going 8-for-25 with two home runs and three RBI. Raul Ibanez has had a tougher time figuring out the 39-year-old right-hander, going just 3-for-17 with two strikeouts against him.

C.J. Wilson had his best outing of the year last Wednesday when he pitched eight innings and beat the Cleveland Indians. He gave up just one run in that game on two hits while striking out eight and walking just one. His ERA dipped to 3.18 on the season and he has struck out 9.3 hitters per nine innings.

Ichiro Suzuki has good numbers against most pitchers, but he is just 9-for-46 against Wilson with just one RBI. Derek Jeter, on the other hand, loves to face Wilson, going 9-for-23 with a home run and two RBI.
