Hiroki Kuroda will be taking the mound for the New York Yankees on Friday night and will take on John Danks and the Chicago White Sox.

In his start against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, veteran starter Hiroki Kuroda was able to pick up his third win of the season after going six innings and striking out seven batters. He allowed three runs on five hits in that game and his ERA lowed to 4.61 on the year. Kuroda has walked just nine batters through 54.2 innings this season.

Adam Dunn is 5-for-16 against Kuroda in his career with two doubles, a home run and seven walks. Paul Konerko has also hit a home run off of the right-hander, but he is just 2-for-12 overall against him.

John Danks lost his second consecutive start last Sunday when he was beaten by the Houston Astros on the road. He pitched a season-low 4.2 innings in that start and gave up seven earned runs on 10 base hits while striking out seven and walking three. His ERA continues to rise and is now at 5.64 through 52.2 innings pitched.

Shortstop Derek Jeter hasn't hit a home run off of Danks yet, but he is 6-for-17 against him with two doubles and just two strikeouts. Mark Teixeira has a .583 average against Danks in 12 at-bats with a double and a homer.
