The New York Yankees will face the Chicago White Sox for the third time in a four game series. In this matchup, the Yankees will be sending Vidal Nuno while the White Sox will counter with John Danks.

In Nuno’s last outing, he received a no-decision after pitching 6 innings and giving up two earned runs and six hits. He struck out five and walked one in the meeting with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In his last two starts, Nuno has had two quality starts but he hasn’t fared as well in the rest of his outing leaving his ERA at 5.82 with a 1-1 record. The Yankees will hope Nuno can get the win against injured White Sox lineup. Nuno hasn’t faced the White Sox yet but he’ll be getting to face them without Jose Abreu in the lineup which should help.

Josh Danks will be pitching for the White Sox. Danks is coming off a terrible outing in which he was rocked for seven earned runs in 4.2 innings. Danks started the season off hot but now finds himself the loser of four of his last five. Since he started the season at 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA, he’s seen his record balloon to 3-4 with a 5.64 ERA. Every outing is another opportunity to turn his fortunes around and the White Sox are hoping Saturday is the day.
