Jonathon Niese will be getting the start for the New York Mets on Tuesday night when they face Michael Wacha and the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 2 of the teams' three-game series.

Jonathon Niese picked up his fourth consecutive no decision last Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers even through he deserved a win in that outing. He went 7.2 innings in that game and allowed just one run on six hits while walking one and striking out a season-high eight batters. Niese has a 3-3 record this year with a very nice 2.54 ERA.

Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina has five hits in his 13 at-bats against Niese with a double, three walks and an RBI. Allen Craig is just 1-for-8 against him with two strikeouts.

22-year-old Michael Wacha could only make it through five innings against the Tampa Bay Rays on the road last week and picked up his fifth loss of the year. He allowed four runs in those five innings of work and walked four without picking up any strikeouts. Wacha has struggled a bit recently, but he still has a solid 2.88 ERA and has only given up four home runs in 84.1 innings this season.

Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is 0-for-3 against Wacha on five plate appearances with two walks and a strikeout. Daniel Murphy is 2-for-5 against him with a strikeout.
