On Saturday afternoon, in a battle between two veteran starters, Bartolo Colon and the New York Mets will be going up against Tim Hudson and the San Francisco Giants.

Bartolo Colon was impressive against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday when he pitched seven strong innings and won his fifth game of the season. He allowed just two runs in those seven innings and struck out five while walking three. Colon's 4.52 ERA in 71.2 innings doesn't look too good, but his 3.61 FIP suggests that he has been pretty unlucky so far this season.

Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has liked facing Colon in his career, going 2-for-3 against him with a walk, a home run and two RBI. Angel Pagan is just 1-for-5 against the right-hander with a double and a strikeout.

Tim Hudson impressed yet again on Sunday when he went seven scoreless innings against the St. Louis Cardinals to pick up his sixth win of the year. He only allowed three hits in that outing and walked two while striking out six. Hudson has a fantastic 1.75 ERA in 77.1 innings of work this season and has only walked eight batters.

Mets third baseman David Wright has hit two doubles and three home runs off of Hudson, but he is batting just .234 against him in 77 career at-bats. Lucas Duda is 9-for-26 against him with a double, a home run and three RBI.
