On Saturday night, Dillon Gee will attempt to improve to 5-1 when the New York Mets take on All-Star Tyson Ross and the San Diego Padres.

Dillon Gee won his fourth game of the year last week when he was able to beat the Atlanta Braves at home. He allowed just one run on six hits in seven innings of work that day, and he struck out four batters while walking just one. Through nine starts, Gee is now 4-1 for the Mets with a 2.56 ERA and he has only given up 47 hits in 59.2 innings.

Padres outfielder Cameron Maybin has just one hits in seven career at-bats against Gee with a walk and no strikeouts. Will Venable is also 1-for-7 against him with a walk and four strikeouts.

Tyson Ross had his second consecutive bad-luck loss last Sunday when he was beaten by the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. He allowed just one runs in seven innings that day while walking one and striking out nine. Ross is currently 7-10, but he has a very good 2.85 ERA and has struck out 126 hitters in 129.2 innings.

Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson has three hits in his seven at-bats against Ross in his career with a home run and two RBI. Veteran Bobby Abreu is just 1-for-5 against him with a walk and no strikeouts.
