New York Mets rookie Jacob deGrom will be looking to get the first win of his Major League career on Saturday when he faces Kyle Kendrick and the Philadelphia Phillies.

In his third start of the season on Monday, Jacob deGrom didn't give up a run in 6.2 innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but he ended up with just a no decision in a game the Pirates ended up winning 5-3. He allowed just five hits in the game and walked a season-high five batters while striking out four. Through his first 19.2 innings in the majors, deGrom has a 1.83 ERA and has only given up 13 hits.

If his first three starts are any indication of how he likes to pitch, the Phillies should expect deGrom to throw his 93-95 mph fastball about 66 percent of the time. He will also mix in a slider, a curveball and a changeup.

Kyle Kendrick had is best all-around start on Monday when he pitched 6.2 scoreless innings against the Colorado Rockies and picked up his first win of the season. He allowed just six hits in that game and struck out two while walking four. Kendrick is just 1-5 on the season, but he does have a decent 4.04 ERA.

David Wright is one guy in the Mets' lineup that Kendrick doesn't like to face. The third baseman is 15-for-44 against him with three home runs and seven RBI.
