Rookie starter Jacob deGrom will try to make it four wins in row when he and the New York Mets go up against Jimmy Nelson and the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday afternoon.

Last week, Jacob deGrom pitched seven strong innings against the Seattle Mariners on the road and picked up his fourth win of the season. He allowed just one run on five hits that day and walked one while striking out seven. On the year, deGrom is now 4-5 with a 3.01 ERA and he has been able to strike out 79 batter sin 80.2 innings of work.

The Brewers are one of the teams that deGrom has already faced this season. He pitched 5.2 innings against them in early June and ended up taking the loss after giving up three runs on nine hits to them.

Right-hander Jimmy Nelson made his third start of the season last week against the Cincinnati Reds and ended up with a no decision. He pitched six innings in that start and allowed three runs on four hits while striking out five batters and walking one. Nelson is 1-1 this season with a 5.06 ERA, but he has struck out 16 hitters in his 16 innings on the mound.

Nelson made his only start of 2013 against the Mets, so he has faced a few of their players already. Outfielder Eric Young is 0-for-3 against him with one strikeout.
