On Thursday, July, 24, the New York Mets will matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park in the first of a four game series. The Mets will send Dillon Gee (4-2, 2.92 ERA) to the hill opposite of Matt Garza (6-7, 4.04 ERA) for the Brewers.

Gee will be ready to take the mound to get his last game out of his mind. Gee had his shortest outing of the season as he gave up four runs over 5 innings and still managed to strikeout eight batters. It was only his second start since missing two months with a strained right lat. Gee had been on a roll before that and would like to get back to doing that when he faces the Brewers.

Gee will have to be careful when facing Jonathan Lucroy who is batting .333 against Gee over his career with two doubles and two RBI.

Garza had a rough outing against the Washington Nationals on Saturday as he was taken for five runs on five hits while striking out only one batter over .1 inning. Over that period, Garza threw 42 pitches and was then pulled. Garza can only improve on that performance and he'll hope to do so against a Mets team that he's pitched well against in the past. However, Curtis Granderson is batting .292 with four doubles and a homerun so Garza will have to contend with him.
