On Sunday afternoon, Kevin Correia (2-0) will try to win his third game in three starts for the Los Angeles Dodgers when they face veteran right-hander Bartolo Colon (11-10) and the New York Mets.

Kevin Correia won his second game in two starts for the Dodgers last week when he defeated the San Diego Padres at home. He pitched five innings in that start and allowed four runs on eight hits while walking one batter and striking out six. Overall this season, Correia is 7-13 with a 4.87 ERA and he has given up 169 hits in 140.1 innings on the mound.

Mets third baseman David Wright has 13 hits in 17 plate appearances against Correia with three doubles, three home runs and six RBI. Second baseman Daniel Murphy is 6-for-15 against him with an RBI and two strikeouts.

Bartolo Colon last made a start for the Mets on August 13 when he lost to the Washington Nationals on the road. In seven innings that day, Colon gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out eight batters and walking one. He now has a 3.85 ERA on the year and he has only walked 1.2 batters per nine innings, which leads the league.

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is 6-for-18 against Colon in his career with two solo home runs and five strikeouts. Outfielder Carl Crawford is just 6-for-36 against him with a walk and nine strikeouts.
