On Saturday night, Jacob deGrom (6-5) will try to extend his undefeated streak to seven games when he and the New York Mets take on Zack Greinke (12-8) and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Rookie Jacob deGrom last made a start for the Mets on August 7 when he took the no decision in his outing against the Washington Nationals. He went six innings in that game and allowed three runs on seven base hits while walking one and striking out four. He now has a 2.87 ERA on the season and he has struck out 94 batters in 100.1 innings of work.

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has one hit in three at-bats against deGrom with a home run and one strikeout. Second baseman Dee Gordon is 0-for-3 against him with a strikeout.

Right-hander Zack Greinke had a solid start against the Milwaukee Brewers last Friday and ended up with a no decision. He went five innings in that game and allowed no runs on two hits while walking five batters and striking out six. Greinke has a very good 2.75 ERA on the year and he has struck out 170 batters in 157.1 innings on the mound.

Outfielder Curtis Granderson has more at-bats against Greinke than any of the other Mets, but he is just 8-for-41 against him with three walks and 10 strikeouts. Lucas Duda is 1-for-4 against him with a walk
