Friday night, the New York Mets will give the ball to Zack Wheeler as they take on the Colorado Rockies and Jorge De La Rosa.  It will be Wheeler’s 6th start and De La Rosa’s 7th.

Zack Wheeler pitched to his second straight no decision in his last start despite a solid effort.  In 6 innings of work, Wheeler gave up a run on 4 hits with 3 walks and 10 strikeouts. In 2013, De La Rosa didn’t start against the Mets and his experience against New York hitters is limited to just 5 players on the roster.  New York’s Chris Young has seen De La Rosa the most, with 26 at-bats.  In those plate appearances, Young is batting .192 with 2 home runs and 2 RBIs.
