24-year-old Zack Wheeler will be pitching for the New York Mets Tuesday night and will be going head-to-head with Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs.

Zack Wheeler was able to end his two-game losing streak last week by beating the Philadelphia Phillies on the road. He allowed just one run on four hits in that game and struck out nine while walking one one for just the second time this season. Wheeler now has a 2-5 record on the season and has struck out 62 batters in 62.2 innings while walking 27.

This will be the first time that anyone on the Cubs will get to face Wheeler, who has been averaging nearly 95 mph on his fastball this season and 88 mph on his slider.

In his fifth start of the year, Jake Arrieta picked up his first loss when the San Francisco Giants were able to score four runs off of him. He went six innings in that outing and allowed seven hits while striking out six and walking one. Arrieta has struck out 9.2 batters per nine innings this season, but he's also give up 9.9 hits per nine innings.

Veteran outfielder Curtis Granderson has faced Arrieta 20 times already in his career and he has seven hits against him, including a double, a triple and three home runs. Bobby Abreu has just one hit against him in six at-bats.
